Reconfigured for a young family with two daughters, this apartment in Tel Aviv’s Yad Eliyahu neighborhood was planned by interior designer Maya Sheinberger as part of the complete renovation of its residential building. The existing four-bedroom layout was reshaped to create brighter, more generous shared spaces and improve the proportions of the private rooms. Removing the guest toilet allowed the kitchen and dining area to expand, while relocating the laundry entrance improved their everyday functionality. The home office was reduced to create a larger primary suite, resulting in a floor plan more closely aligned with the family’s priorities. Natural oak flooring brings continuity to the interior, complemented by smoky gray kitchen cabinetry, white metalwork and accents of deep red, green, mustard and brass. A custom white iron library anchors the living room, while art by Israeli artists introduces additional color and character. Throughout the apartment, carefully planned lighting compensates for areas with limited natural light, creating an airy contemporary home defined by thoughtful spatial planning rather than excess.
